Good morning,
I purchased this plugin, however it is not working as hoped. As stated above the start and end date for users is not displaying. I’ve included a picture below. Users register on my site, they then purchase a membership and their roles are set to change when they do. I’ve run two tests, but only one user is displaying. The blur is added by me in the picture below.
Any advice you could provide would be appreciated.

I forgot to add, the subscription is set to last for 365 days.

Hi Alastair,
I see pending member, so it looks to me the member is not active.
And did you follow the instructions about the cronjob? -
at #81029agjstewart1Member
Hi Mike,
Thanks for your response – I’ve updated the cron job and the member is fully active, pending refers to a special user role made for our site.
Any ideas? I can provide you with a guest login to take a look around. Very keen to get this working tonight.
Best regards,
Alastair

Also, the subscriptions page just reloads on itself repeatedly.

Well i’m not behind my desk because our office is closed for chrismas. But I think you need to look into Your cronjob, I also dont see on Your screenshot the current time zone. That tells me there is somting wrong with Your cronjob.
1- did you upload THE cron.php to Your root.
2- did you set à cronjob on Your server.
3- are the login details correct in THE file cron.phpWhen Youre on THE page subscriptions iT Will refresh automaticly, thats normal.
I Will check tonight at times, so let me know what you found out.
Happy hollidays

Hi thanks for this,
Are there any clear instructions on how to upload the Cron correctly? I’ve got no experience of uploading Cron jobs as our server is handled by our designer. Is there something which could be done with a plugin. Is there any easier way to do it; we purchased it yesterday and ideally need it in place before Boxing Day.
Alternatively, could you assist on the 25th?
Best
Alastair

If you dont have experience with servers etc, leave iT to Your designer. We can do iT for you but iT can be à bit of à time consuming task so I have to charge you for iT.
There are cronjobs services arround, but for an expert there is no need To. As on most servers iTS à default feature.
If youre server iS using for example plesk, just Google iT How to setup à cronjob on plesk.
Yes office is open on monday

Alastair whats your website URL, so I can have a look on what software your server is running.
Do you have the login details of your server/hosting? -
at #81035agjstewart1Member
Hi mike, it’s http://www.darrow.org.uk.
As for details I don’t have any, only for cyberduck.
Thanks for all your help.
Best,
Alastair

Well there is not à lot I can do without access to Your server…

Is there no plugin for cron that could be procured? It’s very complicated for what I’d hoped would be a simply installation.

well I dont have experience with that plug-in, but you can always try.
-
at #81040adminKeymaster
Easycron.com is also one but you still need to have access to Your server, what kind of plug-in you Will be using.
-
at #81041agjstewart1Member
I’ll try and get access. If I get access, is the upload easy to do? I do need this online as quickly as possible; we’re still getting new members.

I have access to cyberduck and cyberduck files, theme files and the like – can this be used for the purpose of getting this online?
-

Could you tell me where what “root folder” you upload the PHP cron file to?
-
at #81056adminKeymaster
Hi Alastair,
cyberduck is only FTP access, when you login via cyberduck you will see probably the root of your site were you can upload the cron.php. But you have to add:
$servername = ”; /**Enter Your Database Servername*/
$username =”; /**Enter Your Database Username*/
$password = ”; /**Enter Your Database Password*/
$dbname = ”; /**Enter Your Database Databasename*/
$prefix = ”; /** Enter Your Database Prefix*/( these can be found in your wp-config file )
Then you will need to create the cronjob at your hosting panel, for more info https://theme-dutch.com/um-switcher/manual-um-switcher/
We can also create your cronjob for you, see here https://theme-dutch.com/product/um-switcher-cronjob-setup/
Hope that helps

Hi,
The cron functionality has been installed by our designer correctly, but it’s not addressing the visibility of start and end dates.
Can you please advise on what to do?
Many thanks,

explain to me in detail what you guys did, because you Saïd earlyer that you had setup THE cron….
-
at #81061agjstewart1Member
We set it up an hour ago, and my designer followed the exact instructions as per using the server for the cron. We’ve tested it again to see if it changes anything, but it’s still not showing any start or end dates, nor is it listing users.
-
at #81062adminKeymaster
1 have you unziped THE cron, added the server login details and upload iT to THE root.
2 have you set à cronjob at Your hosting panel.
3 did you as à test purchase à um switcher product.
4 on THE subscriptions page, on top do you see THE current time zone.
-
at #81063agjstewart1Member
We’ve done all of that, we’re not seeing the current time zone (I’m not sure why you’re capitalising ‘the’?).
-
at #81064agjstewart1Member
That’s the current situation. The page simply reloads on itself, we can’t see the three users already subscribed and the cron has been installed as per your instructions, although our designer notes the cron is optional? Any ideas about this?

Additionally, he tells me he doesn’t know where the plugin is trying to get the timezone information from.
-
at #81067adminKeymaster
THE comes from my iPad, so dont look at that please.
Ok, you dont see THE current time zone that means that THE cronjob.php is not correct.
If iTS correct set, iT Will display THE current time zone from Your general settings.
Just to be sure.
You have downloaded THE cron.zip, unziped iT and added THE server details. And that file unziped is now avalable in THE root, besides for example THE WP-config file?- This reply was modified 7 years, 11 months ago by admin.

This issue was not caused by our plugin but duo the fact that this installation has 49 plugins installed. And one of them was causing a conflict. After deactivating his other plugins um-switcher worked fine. If you have a issue for example not showing an start and end date on the subscription page, deactivate all other plugins and try again.
