Hello, so far I love this theme but when I try to edit the sliders nothing happens. I read your documentation, which is great by the way, but I’m not seeing what the manual says. I can add a slider “home slider” then when I click edit only the “add image” link appears, and when I click on that, nothing happens. Any ideas? I am using WordPress ver. 3.6.1

    Hi Charlie,

It could be a wp3.6.1 incompatibility. We are currently running our champi websites on 3.5.1

It could also be a jQuery conflict with one of your plugins. Have you tried to disable all of your installed plugins, to see what happens?

I expect it to be one of those two causes

Really??? That’s all I get. Basically your saying “sucks for you if you want to have anything on your site that we didn’t build, or that you are using the latest version of WP”. Where was that in the documentation before I bought it?

I’ve deactivated all the plugins, and that didn’t change anything, but I cant find a way to revert back to 3.5.1

I just checked with my hosting company and I cannot go back to 3.5.1

    Hi Charlie,

Now that you’ve ruled out the plugin conflict, I expect it to be a wordpress version issue.

I understand how reverting to WP3.5.1 is not quite easy to do as it would basically require you to either do a new installation and move export everything to that, or do some FTP changes of folders. So I went and installed a new WP3.6.1 test website to try champi on. I get the same issue there, having nothing happening when I hit add slide so I am fairly certain that should be the problem at hand here.

Now Champi will receive an update to work with WP3.6.1 but the issue is time. We work with a small team and have a lot of themes that we are updating, which is quite time consuming. For that matter, we have not gotten to updating Champi yet.

Seeing as you are a premium member, I will ask our development team if there is a quick fix, like a patch, for this that we could help you out with for the time being. I am unsure though whether this could be patched or if it would really require a complete update of the theme for it to work properly. I will discuss this with our developers.

As for reverting your wordpress to an earlier version, may you need/want to do that. Here’s a tutorial I found that I believe shows one of the easiest ways of doing it. May you need this, I figured I’d share it with you. The reversion it talks about is from an older version but ishould still work the same now.

As with any major changes to your wordpress site I do suggest to make a backup of all the files (FTP) and the database before doing any of it. Just to be safe.

I’ll get back to you when I know more of the possibility to patch this issue.

    With kind regards,

    Kevin

I need a time line on when you think this theme might work on 3.6.1? GoDaddy will not let me revert back to 3.5.1 for security reasons. I have either got to forget about using this theme, or not, pretty soon. I am already a week behind trying to make this thing work, and I need to know if i need to go looking for another theme that might work. Very frustrating.

    Hi Charlie,

I have edited this message for I have had some new information from our developers:

The Champi update for 3.6.1 has recently been finished (I was unaware it was that far) and has been uploaded to mojo-themes. You can get your updated version of Champi there. Once a theme has been bought, it can be re-downloaded for free.

    With kind regards,

    Kevin
