Hi,
I’ve recently purchased a copy of the JAMES theme and would like to use it the same way as the example page
I have med this video to illustrate my problem.
In your demo, when clicking a brick/box the image opens up in full screen. But when I click a picture they open up in a boring gray box (not full screen/width) - also I cannot remove the small + symbol that opens the pictures in “post mode”.
The two pictures on my page (haven’t added more due to this issue) is added as two posts without and text but with the pictures as featured image on each post.
How do I make the pictures open in “full” screen gallery mode (like in the demo) and how do I remove the + button on the posts?
Best regards

I believe the solution to your problem will be fairly simple.
What you’re currently using is the “bricks” layout for your homepage category, and you’re using it exactly like it’s intended so that’s good. Now what we show on our james demo page is the “boxes” layout.
Now what you’ll want to do is go to appearance -> James -> home and check if the selection box for your home gallery also features an option called boxes . If so, select that, save your changes and you should be done.
If it doesn’t feature an option called “boxes” you might be using an older version of our theme. Could you then supply me with your theme version number and the name of the marketplace you purchased it from. (James used to be on themeforest some time ago but is now featured on mojo-themes instead).
Kind regards,
Kevin

22/01/2014 at 8:55 PM #13704Hi Kevin,
How do you make the text posts fullscreen? (or are they in fact pictures?)
23/01/2014 at 12:03 PM #13709Hi Jesper,
What you’ll want to do is check the checkbox for “Use Content When Image is Clicked:” down in the post options of the post that populates this brick.
Also, we don’t have a featured image set for this particular post but it might also work with a featured image available.
Kind regards,
Kevin
05/02/2014 at 9:14 PM #62520Hopefully last question…
How do I wrap the “lines” of posts so it is not just one line containing all posts?
I mean is it possible to see a limit on number of posts per line?See this video:

The boxes gallery on James is currently being populated line by line.
One line can currently contain 11 boxes. Whenever there are more than 11 boxes available, it will continue on line 2, until that one has 11 boes as well then it will move to line 3 etc.You will probably see that when you add a few more images, line 2 will start being populated.
Part of the reason why this was done is to make sure on large screens (like for example a 27″ imac) the images will populate the area all the way to the right border so you don’t have a white space to the right of it.
I do understand how this can be a little undesirable when you don’t have a lot of images to display yet I’ll make a suggestion to our developers to perhaps try thinking of a different way of handling this, however if this will be changed, I don’t expect it to be quite that soon.
Kind regards,
Kevin -
