I’m having trouble creating the portfolio page (well, I’m having trouble with everything to be honest but I’ll start here).
I have the portfolio short code, and then I have the image gallery short codes. I want it to look like the portfolio page on the example site, with All -> Projects -> Photography. I see that there is a box extended from the bottom of the link box around the links, but my box doesn’t extend around it. My images also had a different zoom in action when you hover over them. I prefer your look, how it just shades over a colour. I haven’t created the pages to link to yet, because I want to figure this out first. I also want to be able to link to different projects, with an explanation on the side. I don’t understand how you got the links for “all” and “Projects” and “photography” either. How do you connect them to the links?
I don’t know if this makes sense, but here you can see the horrible mess if that helps: http://www.primalrevolutions.com/portfolio-2/
I appreciate any help! Thank you!!!!!
26/02/2013 at 2:38 PM #10867I’m having a some trouble finding exactly what you mean but it sounds like you are looking to recreate something we’ve done on our demo site, is that correct?
If so, could you go to http://www.theme-dutch.com/presents/notime/ (direct link to the demo) and send me the url of the page you mean to recreate? That way I’ll go check out how we did that and I’ll supply you with an explanation on that.

26/02/2013 at 2:48 PM #10869Sorry, I couldn’t really explain it well!
I’d like to recreate the portfolio look here: http://theme-dutch.com/presents/notime/portfolio-example-1/
Thanks!
27/02/2013 at 12:26 PM #10876Hi,
Don’t worry about that, here’s what we’ve done:
We’ve created the page and have used the shortcode as shown in the screenshot added. These two categories linked to in the shortcode each contain posts with a featured image (the image that will be shown) as well as a set post width in the post layout options.
Now I’ve been looking at that box you’re talking about and I see what you mean. You might be using the portfolio shortcode incorrectly (empty) and using the image gallery underneath that, while all you really need is the portfolio shortcode calling certain categories that contain these images.
The screenshot might explain what I mean.

09/03/2013 at 4:54 PM #10976Thanks Kevin. I seem to have figured that part out now. So I have a gallery under the portfolio… but when I click on an image, it says “Image cannot be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and image exist.” Did I do something wrong?
Another thing I am wondering is how I can make the gallery look nice with a column describing the project to the side, like in Project 03 under Portfolio example 1. I tried to insert a column and add the dotted line, but it didn’t do anything.
Thank you again!
09/03/2013 at 6:31 PM #10977Nevermind, I also figured that out (I think!).
But in that same portfolio example, you have images that are different sizes and have different numbers of columns… first with 6 portfolios across, then with 2, then with images on different levels. How do you do that?
09/03/2013 at 8:04 PM #10978And also, how do you have rectangular thumbnails in the portfolio? Mine are square.
I’m also still getting the “Image cannot be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and image exist.” message.
Thanks!
11/03/2013 at 11:11 AM #10984Hi Savannah,
You can choose the sizes those images will show up in by changing the “post width” in its post options. playing around with this in all the posts you are displaying will allow you to create these columns and interesting layouts.
I don’t really know what’s causing the image can’t be found error. I haven’t seen it before and appear unable to recreate it here on my test sites. So it’s difficult for me to judge what might be causing it.
