I don’t see anything in the 2.0 instruction manual about the boxes option that has been added. For example, recommended sizes of your image, etc. Is there a newer manual available that is inline with all of the features of 2.0?
23/05/2013 at 4:32 PM #11748Hi Zi,
Could be that there’s nothing in there yet. I’ll make sure to notify the right people about that, thank you.
As for the boxes, The size of the boxes is 250px x 250px. Basically it would be recommended to have at least that size but larger would be nicer for when people would click on the boxes to enlarge them.
Other than that, how it works much resembles how the Bricks work, except for the fact that there’s no option to select different sizes in the post options.
Hope that helps you out for now. If you’ve got any other questions, feel free to ask.

24/05/2013 at 6:57 PM #11762Thanks! My related question is, I haven’t found a way with boxes to make them link to the content behind them when you click on them. Instead they expand. With bricks you click the plus and it will take you to that post. With boxes it seems it only expand and you could have content that shows up when it expands.

I believe you’re right. Right now their only functionality is to open up a gallery. I do like your idea though. I’m posting it as a suggestion for our developers to consider when working on an update for the theme. I think it would indeed be good if you were given a possibility to navigate through them.

The instruction manual should be included in your themeforest download. It features the theme but also the instructions manual.

13/07/2013 at 11:49 PM #12301Hi There,
I went to download James 2.0 at ThemeForest, but it appears to no longer be hosted via them. (See attached screenshot)
Do you have another place I can download this updated theme so that I can upgrade from v1.1 and unblock adding media to my posts.
Thanks!
Matt

Allow me to inform with some people here at Theme-Dutch. I must say I am not yet aware of this. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

16/07/2013 at 6:16 PM #12307Hi Matt,
Due to some changes in the Themeforest Policies, we have decided to remove our older themes from there and continue selling the older themes we’ve updated via Mojothemes. We will continue to release themes to themeforest but somo of our themes will be moving to mojothemes.
We are aware that we’ve got themeforest clients and they will still receive support for these themes. We are working on a way for our themeforest clients to get access to the theme updates through our website . For now though, if you wish, I could send you the latest version of James via e-mail.
Just send em an e-mail to kevin(a)theme-dutch.com Please mention this post so and the fact that I would send you the theme update so I’ll know what it’s about.
Kevin
