I see what you mean, however when I go to http://www.responsive-wp-theme.com where Mikmag is being showcased, I don’t get the same problem. I get some changes in styling because of lower capabilities that IE8 has, css-wise but I don’t get stuck on a page with only the background like I do on your website. There’s got to somehow be something that’s different between the two. Could it perhaps be anything with a plugin you’ve installed?

Thans for your reply. Can you give me a screenshot of how it looks on your side for both sites? So I can compare and duplicate for troubleshooting. Thanks a lot again!

@Robert Saaverdra - Whenever I went to your site (I have IE8) here are some things I have noted: Whenever I load the page, I get the background image, as it is loading slide5.jpg and then once that slide loads the page loads, although many elements are misplaced. What are you using for the slider? Have you tried disabling the slider to see if it makes a difference with the page loading in IE8 or if it makes a difference with the other elements that are out of sorts? I see you are using WordPress 3.4.2 are you using the latest MikMag version of the theme? I had an issue similar to yours a while back, and found that it was a plugin causing the issue. Have you tried going through and disabling any plugins to see if they might be causing the issue?
