Observation:
The header, slider and body separate in responsive mode when a background image is used. At full page width displaying 1140 plus browser chrome, it is beautiful.
However collapsing the page to smaller sizes the layout pulls apart exposing more background. See screen capture attachment.
Given most modern screens are wider than 1140 px the full display is a non issue. In responsive mode it is acceptable and presents well but it would be nice to have uniformity on tablets and handhelds.
Note left and right margin dimensions.
Page Setup:
There is a default universal background image with a custom background displaying in this example. The page incorporates a wide left hand side column.
Knowing your quest for excellence, I am sure it is on your To-Do List.
Be awesome…

21/05/2013 at 5:59 PM #11726Seems to happen only with nivo slider.. or at least, not with layer. I’ll add it to the bug list.
The whole nivo slider seems to resize a little bit strangely height wise (also if you add images that are too high).
Thanks

21/05/2013 at 8:29 PM #11733Hey Kevin…
Checked out the images in question and they are all 1140 x 400 px.
Should I have different sizes?
Thanks,
James
22/05/2013 at 5:39 PM #11739Hi James,
I would say that normally, when the rescaling of the image is being done properly, the image size shouldn’t matter too much. I’d make it so it would fit on the full size and then when it’s getting scaled down it will scale accordingly. So if you’re using 400 height and have a 1140 width for the slider I’d say that should also be the perfect dimension for the image.
