After the update of the James theme, the slideshow is not working :

James got a complete new set of shortcodes It could be that it does not include that one, I’d expect that to be the problem here..

If you absolutely need it as a shortcode, I’m guessing you could try to grab it form the earlier version and work it into the current theme.
Hoewever, there is a slider option available in the post/page options if you scroll down a little. That will add a slider to the top of that post/page.
