Just download the new version from themeforest, then remove or rename the currently installed version of the theme, after that install the freshly downloaded version and it will have been updated properly.

    Thanks Kevin,

Let me make sure I got this correct.

    Upload updated version to server
Rename the NoTime folder of the current version installed
    Active update version of NoTime

    Did I miss anything?

Also when I download the theme from Themeforest and unzip the folder is NOTIME 1.0 -UNZIP ME PLEASE isn’t the updated theme version 1.01?

You’ll want to rename the currently installed version before uploading the freshly downloaded version to avoid conflicts (since the names will be the same, they will start overwriting). Then once you’ve uploaded the new version it will be activated as soon as it’s been uploaded, since it will carry the name of the activated theme.

Your theme will not be shown for a small amount of time, between the rename of the old theme and the end of uploading the new one. There is a little more complicated way to diminish the downtime to almost 0 which is:

Download the zip from TF, unpack it.

Rename the theme folder to notime_new

    upload that to your ftp

once it’s uploaded, rename the old theme to notime _old

rename the new one from notime_new to notime

This way the only downtime you’ll have is in the few seconds needed to rename the new one from _new to notime.

Hope my explanation makes sense :)
