I have spent the past three days working on trying to solve this problem.

It seems the Menu Buttons on the sample site are not showing up on mine for some reason.
I.e. Home, Shop, Features, Portfolio etc

here are the links to your demo site and to my site so you can see the problem I am having.

Here is the links to my site that I have installed here twice in my attempts to solve this problem.

Thanks for your help here, I did look in the support forums, but this issue was not covered and it also does not seem to be covered in the maneul, perhaps it is an easy thing to fix, I hope so?

    Thanks again,

    James George

    James.

    G’Day.
I know this may sound basic, but after you installed the dummy data did you then create the menus and allocate them to an area ?

    Cheers,

    Michael.

Well I have to be honest here, my understanding of how to make this system work here is pretty basic, I guess I did not see that part of how to do that in the Manuel that came with the product?

Perhaps there is a youtube clip that covers this kind of thing, but you are correct, i did not create those, I thought they were part of the system I was buying here based on the demo web-site. So perhaps you can tell me step by step how this can be accomplished or refer me to that part of the Manuel?

    Thank you in advance,

    Kind Regards,

If not, perhaps I bought a product here that is way beyond my capability, I guess I was hoping for something straight forward and user friendly. I noticed their are many Word press themes that have full three hour video’s that teach the end user how to use the product, perhaps I should just get a refund here and then buy one of those. I really need something that can show me step by step, how to use this so the product I bought is a value to me. I just really liked this design, but I also need something that can work for me here? So what do you think my best path is here? I don’t have a lot of money to put forward on this project, I know that if I had spent hundreds of hours developing a product this complex, I would have made a video for my customers on youtube that would teach them how to use it. No excuse not to do this today don’t you think?

    Hi James,

Our themes are made in such a way that our users are free to choose whether or not they want to use certain features of the theme. We strive to give our theme users the freedom to use the tools we supply with our themes to create something of their own. This way, one theme will never result in plenty of websites that look exactly the same.

In the case of the menu’s, you can choose exactly what pages / categories you wish to display there (that’s fairly usual with wordpress).

Unfortunately, it was not possible to have the menus loaded through our dummy content, that has to be done manually.

Here’s how to activate your menu’s.

    - Log onto your wp-admin dashboard
    - Go to appearance -> menus
    - At the top, where it says “select a menu to edit”, select the menu you’d like to add to the page | if you haven’t got any menu’s available, you’ll want to create a menu.
    - After selecting (or creating) a menu, scroll down while the menu is still selected for editing and choose to add the menu to one of the 3 menu spaces the theme provides you with. (in this case main menu is the most important one).
    - Save your menu.

    Kind regards,
    Kevin

    Oh I see,

Yeah that does make sense here, I am just now learning the word press system here, seems very cool. Glad you guys are helping me here, this is really making all the difference for me, appreciate your great service and help here. :)

I will try the above and thanks again for the help, I guess this is the best place to get future help if I should need more help in the future?

    Kind Regards,

    James

    James.
G’Day and glad to read that you have been able to figure it out.
Don’t be afraid to post any further questions, and when you have your site up post the URL here or on the Showcase Forum for all of us to see.
    Cheers,
    Michael.

You have to first create your pages, create home ect…then add them to your menu. Then go under settings>reading and set your default page to the home page that you have created. You have your blog selected as your home page, thats why it doesnt look like the theme. The pdf included with the download has full detail how to set up sliders for the home page like the theme. Create a slider, its under appearance>joop>sliders, go back to your homepage, scroll down to background and select the background with the name of the slider you created. Hope that helps.
