Hi,
I have the following three questions please:
1. How do I change the font size and color in the Photo Description Box (Gallery view)? (just like in your preview of the theme)
2. I can’t seem to be able to set up the Blog/News page in the theme. The option for the blog (as it appears in your manual point 0.9 category setup) is just not there on my end. (yes I am using wp 3.3)
3. How do I please add a banner/picture into the sidebars?
Your help is much appreciated.
Thank you.
23/08/2013 at 9:25 AM #12593Hi HighConcept,
1) I’m thinking you mean like on this page? http://theme-dutch.com/presents/cesare/plus-text/
We’ve done that with html tags in the caption text (I’ve added a screenshot of the first slide, back-end)
2) I’m unsure exactly what part you are referring to that appears to be unavailable. However, let me try to explain how it would work.
First off, note that Cesare is compatible with WordPress 3.4.2, might be part of your issue.
Now, to create a blog, you’ll first want to create a category (posts -> categories)
Second, you will want to create a blog post. Just make a regular new post, write your texts and be sure to add a featured image. This featured image will show on top of the post in your blogs list (as shown here: http://theme-dutch.com/presents/cesare/category/blog/).
Now one last thing you needn’t forget when creating your post is assigning it to your blog category by ticking that checkbox.
Now that you’ve got a category that contains one or more blogposts, you can go to the theme options at appearance -> cesare and open up the category setup tab. In there you will see all categories on your website (or at least the ones that have posts assigned to them). There you can choose to set up your new category as a blog by selecting that in the dropdown selection box (I’ve uploaded a screenshot of that as well)
Now that you’ve got your category set up, you can add it to your menu.
3) We’ve added the images to the sidebars using a HTML img tag inside a text widget.
Hope this helps.
Kevin
