    hello,
I bought freeze wordpress theme that comes with 4 types of sliders. I want to use the slider layer, but how it works? no way to do anything decent … does not have a preview window, and I can not move anything with the keyboard or mouse … and do not understand why I have to touch controls to do something nice as the topic itself. Help!
    thanks

    G’Day.

Here is a link to the Youtube video on how the Layer Slider works: http://youtu.be/ZY9SxVyugx4

The version that is included in this, and many other themes, doesn’t have all the controls that the standalone version has. One of which is the ability to move the layers around within a slide via your mouse. But from the video you should be able to get a good idea of how to work the plugin.

Let us know how you go.

    Cheers,

    G’Day again.

I’m guessing you are referring to the orange ‘Purchase Today’ button/Tab that appears in the second slide on the Freeze demo site. f so, that would be a seperate layer with some html/shortcode.

How I would create it would be:
    1. Go to a Post/Page that you have that you use for testing - like a Sandbox Post.
    2. Create the Button using the Shortcode options.
    3. Copy the HTML code for this creation
    4. Go to the Layer Slider option and specifically the Slide that you want the button to appear on.
    5. Create a new sub-layer and then place the HTML code in the appropriate area and then decide the positioning.

Okay, here’s the HTML code for you:
    [button medium link="http://ebay.com"]Purchase From eBay[/button]

Note: Whatever your pre-defined color scheme is for the theme/website will be the background color of the button. [Found at: Appearance > Freeze > General > Settings]

It would be great if, in a future update of the Freeze theme, the Theme-Dutch people could put the option to define seperately the background colors to Buttons and other ‘stand out’ shortcodes.

    Cheers,

    hello;
is not that what you really want. Wonder how the slider works. Because in the video you send me the link is not the same slider. In the video, leave more controls, including layers lets you move the mouse, and you have a preview window. However, in the default slider that comes with the theme, are not even half of controls and clear, you can not do anything even close to what’s in the demo. So, wondering if anyone knows how to use the slider itself that comes with the freeze issue.
    thanks

    G’Day again.

Yes, agree with you - as I wrote in an earlier post, the controls for the controls for the Layer Slider when it is INCLUDED inside a theme are less that when one gets if using the complete plugin.

But. One can still work with it - it is just trial and error.

I quickly set up an example on my test version of Freeze at:

    http://freeze01.webdesignbypacificwings.com/sample-page-two/?preview=true&preview_id=98&preview_nonce=e9ac426ec3

Unfortunately there is not facility to allow me to upload a screenshot of the backend !!
I’ll try and send the screenshot to you via email (PM).

    Cheers,
