James there used to be a top right advertising banner space that could be turned on or off and with the ability to add an image or ad network code (e.g. Google adsense) but that has disappeared from MikMag 2.00 for some reason. I am using it on my live site with MikMag 1.3.2 but unless I hack header.php I can not longer have an ad in the header and even then it would be fixed across the entire site - whereas now I have page by page control of the header banner.
I raised this issue last week in a separate thread but have had no feedback yet. Perhaps you can help press for this to be reinstated?

GailstormI see on MikMag 2.00 the page shadow around the whole page content (boxed version) has now disappeared whereas MikMag 1.3 had a box shadow all around the page (with the exception of the header). The new version has a shadow around the footer only - but not the body - not sure why that is.
I only noticed this when i used a light colour background image on one particular page.
Is this shadow being reintroduced or not because if not it means we cannot really use a background image with a lot of whiite in it or it simply will not show up the boxed effect of the main content area.

Yes I had seen where the line 293 in the CSS so was aware this is where the box shadow was being added but wasn’t sure how I could simply stop it showing on my logo - but then realised it was more extensive than that as it added the shadow to all images with a link.
Anyway I have now used your suggested workaround as other images - especially those with a white background anyway - looked odd with shadows on my site. I am sure on other sites it may not be an issue.

MikMag has lots of great features but if I were not relatively experienced with HTML/CSS/WP and a smattering of php, I would not have been able to get the same results with it. Having said that I think MikMag is very powerful and once the wrinkles are ironed out in the new release it will be a really great theme.
Perhaps Themeforest should show an “ease of use” score for new themes with developers being asked to rate their theme for ease of use so newbies could steer clear of any rated as experienced user required
I was pleased to see Themeforest now show more information relating to user rankings so perhaps they will consider ease of use too in future.Gailstorm
I already posted re the fact that with MikMag 2.0 my transparent logo now has a box shadow border but I see now that this problem exists for a lot of my images that include links to other files and are intended to have transparent backgrounds or even where they have a white background but they are intended to merge seamlessly into the background.
This would not be a problem if I did not also need to link these images to larger versions for example - but they all look odd with box-shadows everywhere now!
Unless this can be fixed so that only featured images for example and banner ads have these borders, then I will be forced to remove this box shadow from ALL images which I am reluctant to do.
Can anyone offer a CSS tweak that would achieve this please?

I touched on both the following issues in 2 earlier posts but thought I should raise them again as they both relate to banner ads:
1) The ability to ad a banner ad to the HEADER area (to the right of the logo and above the menu) has disappeared from the MikMag Ads available options. This is a problem for me. Whilst I could possibly hack header.php to add a banner - it would then be global (site-wide) and it would lose us the ability to display a completely different banner ad on each page / site section. I really need to be able to display different ads in this area according to the page being displayed.
Is this functionality being added back into the theme please as it was one of the strongest monetisation features of the theme!
2) The MikMag 125x125px banner ad widget no longer displays ads at the correct size - they are now displaying at just 90x90px. I suspect a CSS change in the Beta version is responsible. The sizing reduction is a problem if you are selling 125×125 ads and the advertiser complains that their ads are now much smaller than before. They have also lost their hover function which changed the white border to grey on hover - a nice feature I thought so it’s a shame to lose it - especially as the new developer has added these hover effects to all linked images everywhere else so I cannot understand why he has removed them for these ads?
Can Theme Dutch please take a look at this issue (and the one above) and suggest a resolution please?

Has anyone else got issue 2 described in my earlier post on this thread, as I cannot seem to get the right css change to hide the box shadow on my transparent logo which makes it look amateurish.
Also - re both issues 1 and 2 - can Theme Dutch tell us if these issues are being passed to the developer to deal with or not please?

If you have Winzip or Winrar you can simply zip up the new MikMag folder yourself and upload that as per usual - that’s what I did. I suspect this was an oversight by Theme Dutch as we were pressuring them to release the BETA to us as early as possible - but I am sure that Theme Dutch plan to provide it in zipped format prior to general release of MikMag 2.

Is there an updated version of the documentation for MikMag 2 available please?
For example there is a new function in the theme options panel > general settings > settings tab called “Enable Page Loader” but I have no idea what it does. Can Theme Dutch please advise what this option does and if there is expanded documentation available yet please?Thanks and Regards

2 issues exist here - one I fixed and the other I cannot fix without some help:
1) With background patterns selected it also shows in the header area when it should not. I have done a temporary CSS fix for this: #header { background-image: none; }
2) Now that box-shadows have been added to all images with a link (a tag) it is now adding a shadow around my transparent image logo which i do not want there. I have tried adding css to remove this from my logo, but so far have not been successful. Please can someone provide a quick fix css I can use to get rid of this shadow border that now appears around my logo.

Testing - Issues with MikMag2.00 on WP 3.5.1
1) The ability to ad a banner ad to the header area (to the right of the logo) has disappeared from the MikMag Ads available options. This is a problem. The only way to insert a header banner now is to hack header.php to add a global banner. We would lose the ability to show a different banner ad on each page / section. I need this functionality to be reintroduced please!
2) Sidebar no longer has a right margin - it runs right to the edge of the page - is this intentional?
3) Right sidebar widget title bar has a 1 pixel overhang that looks odd - fixable via CSS.
4) Sidebar widths are different - is this intentional?
5) MikMag 125×125 ads widget is now resizingthese ads to 90×90 pixels max + they appear even smaller depending on sidebar width selected. Is this intentional?6) Even with MikMag SEO basic disabled in theme options I see it is still showing enabled in page options???
Still testing so more to come

Testing - Main Menu - MikMag 2.00 on WP 3.5.1
I have tested the main menu and it now works with multiple dropdown menus (up to 6 I think from viewing the code) and also the issue with sub sub-menu items (levels 3+) floating to the top has been fixed so these items are now aligned next to the parent menu item - which is as it should be.

Testing - Accordian Carousal Thumbnail slider (TDAC)
I have tested the V2.0 new thumbnail slider with one post category only selected (3 categories set up) and it works for me on a clean test install running WP 3.5.1
Hooray!I do not have WP3.6 Beta 2 installed so have not tested in that environment.
