Hi Folks,
I’ve got a vexing issue with the background image for my site not displaying properly on the iPad…
Here’s a video documenting the problem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psZJKkHMaPM
Here’s the URL to my site: http://69.195.124.72/~vitruvi9/
How do I fix this? I need to launch this site soon :/
Thanks
14/10/2012 at 10:35 PM #8726I wonder if the issue could be related to the retina display? I tried viewing the site on a MacBook Pro with retina display, and there was no problem… But clearly there’s an issue on the iPad :/
As I mentioned in my video, I can’t launch my site like this and I’ve already put a lot of work in on it, so I’m seriously hoping for a fix.

G’Day.
Sorry, I can’t help you with your issue as I don’t have an iPad, but I did want to congratulate you on a very nice and effective website .
Cheers,

It’s been a fair amount of work getting it all together. And I’m ready to launch, if I can just get this background-image issue addressed.16/10/2012 at 1:42 PM #8742I need somebody there to address this issue, ThemeDutch. I was supposed to launch my site yesterday, but I can’t until this problem is resolved.
17/10/2012 at 4:56 PM #8752This problem doesn’t occur with the MikMag demo (www.responsive-wp-theme.com/v2/). Does this mean there’s a problem with the photo I’m using? What do I have to do to get an answer on this?
18/10/2012 at 5:11 PM #8770I’m not letting this go, Theme-Dutch. MikMag is sold as a responsive theme, which means there should be no presentational issues like this on an iPad.
If you guys can’t figure out what the problem is, who can?
19/10/2012 at 6:49 PM #8781I’m going to keep posting here until I get some satisfactory information. This is a bug, ThemeDutch, plain and simple. It needs to be addressed.
20/10/2012 at 1:23 AM #8785Alright, forget it. You win. I fixed it myself.
But I have to say, this is no way to run tech support. Your customers shouldn’t have to resort to code-level tinkering to restore basic functionality to a software product. Nor should they have to pay extra to get you to fix your bugs. I can’t help but think that someone there could have done in 5 minutes what’s taken me 5 days to figure out and put me behind schedule.
Thanks for all the helpful feedback.
